Background

The Grand Mixed Lodge of Greece was founded in 1996 from the restructured "DELPHI International Freemasonic Order". It is an autonomous administrative institution of all Mixed Symbolic Lodges that were founded since 1926.

Today its 20 Symbolic Lodges are active in the East of the cities of Athens, Salonica, Chalcis, Volos, Rhodes, Chania and Heraklion.

Events


  • The 1st Meeting of Master Masons (1997): At that meeting were presented subjects concerning the relations and duties that should condition the contacts between Masons and people that are not Masons as well as subjects on Freemasonic Ethics.

  • The 1st Meeting of Members (1998): At that meeting were presented subjects that particularly stressed the identity of Freemasonry and themes on the character and the social activities of the Order.

Activities


  • Aid for the Fight Against Drug use.

  • Aid to individuals released from prison aiming at their social rehabilitation.

  • Aid to the charity work of Church institutions outside Greece that is connected to and benefits the Greek cultural Heritage.

  • Aid to teachers for the teaching of the Greek language in schools abroad.

  • Aid in the form of medical and pharmaceutical supplies during the war in Serbia.

  • Foundation and operation of a Bank for the donation of blood.

  • Aid to " UNICEF ".

  • Aid to "Doctors without Frontiers" and to "Doctors of the World".

  • Charities of a general nature.

  • Aid to social and cultural initiatives and activities.

  • "KORIMVOS": Periodical publication of the "Grand Mixed Lodge of Greece", aiming to inform its members about its intellectual, social and charity activities in Greece and abroad.
