The growth of relations between the various Freemasonic Orders at the international level aims at the realisation and consolidation of the vision of Freemasonry as a world institution, that instils in the minds of people the ideals of Freedom, Equality, Brotherhood, Justice and Solidarity. This institution with its unique mode of operation does not only address itself to the mind, but also to the sentiment of people. It asks a person to flood his/her heart with love, understanding and kindness. It strengthens him/her with faith, in order to trust more in him/herself and to comprehend, at various levels, not only the environment which surrounds him/her but also his/her inner self. Freemasonry strengthens the individual with hope, patience and humility, so that all his objectives may come to a happy fulfilment. All these render Freemasonry timeless, always useful and appropriate. Freemasonry is itself a way of life, a way of thought and a way of behaviour, and these are traits and characteristics not only of intellectuals and philosophers, but also of all free-thinking people. For all these, Freemasonry is a universal and ageless institution. |
